About Course

Programming interactions in Unreal is no mystery: the goal of this course is to demystify programming in 3D projects, empower architects, 3D artists, students and beginners to program their own interactions that can be applied in architecture visualization, metaverse projects, training and digital twins, robot simulation and artificial intelligence, in the film and broadcast industry, product visualization among others. The course has more than 20 hours of video, recorded in Portuguese and subtitled in English.

What Will You Learn?

  • Unreal Engine Basics
  • How to work with Blueprint System
  • Programming Basics (Variables, Arrays, Classes, Functions, Macros, etc.)
  • Communicate beetween Blueprints
  • Create UI & HUD
  • Create 30+ different interactions

The Essentials
Get to know the Unreal Engine Editor, understand the order of execution, use of helpers and also most common node types.

Basic Scripting: Variables
Learn about the most common variable types, essential for blueprint programming.

Basic Scripting: Arrays
Learn about the most common Array types, essential for blueprint programming.

Basic Scripting: Flow Control
Learn about Flow Control, essential for blueprint programming.

Specialized Node Groups
Understand what Events, Functions, Macros, Enums, etc are and why we use them in all projects.

Blueprint Classes
Get to know the main blueprint classes that we will use in our projects and learn how to work with them.

Working with Actors

Blueprint Communication
Communication between blueprints is essential to create our interactions, know and understand the main forms of communication, when and how to use them.

Blueprint Time Manipulation
Learn how to manipulate the elements of our blueprints, whether changing time, manipulating objects in space or editing materials in real time.

Blueprint Space Manipulating
Learn how to manipulate the elements of our blueprints, whether changing time, manipulating objects in space or editing materials in real time.

Blueprint Material Manipulation
Learn how to manipulate the elements of our blueprints, whether changing time, manipulating objects in space or editing materials in real time.

UI & HUD
User interfaces are essential for enabling interactions and providing user information and feedback - learn how to create and edit your interfaces using Unreal Engine's UMG system.

Exercises
It's time to put all the theory we've learned into practice. Let's now create interactions using basic Unreal elements.
