Venezia, Venice, Venice … No matter the language, this city is unlike anything we’re used to: The channels crossing the city, bridges and streets are like mazes and everything comes together in a romantic environment. And what is most characteristic in Venice than riding a Gondola?

This is where the demo Venezia for Rift comes in: with the virtual reality device Oculus Rift you may feel like you are doing a gondola ride through the canals of Venice.

To navigate within the Gondola you can use the arrow keys, the famous WASD keys or joystick. Remember to look at the water passing next to the Gondola, the view to the rear and the details under the bridge. Bon Voyage!

Since we received our Oculus Rift DK2 we are testing and optimizing our projects for VR. Not everyone knows but the Unreal Engine 4 provides automatic support for the Oculus Rift, this means that you just plug the Rift, hit Play and the projects run in virtual reality. A perfect resource for anyone who develops games, archviz, etc.

Venezia’s our first project to be optimized for Rift. Because the Archviz projects seek the photo realism, work to increase the frame rate and maintain the quality is very difficult and yet we feel that we can still improve.

We are running the Epic graphics version with 60fps in a GTX970 and the Low Graphics at 75fps.

We would like to thank Oculus team for the equipment and Epic for supporting the engine.
